The black band party today was pretty neat, glad I got to attend! I managed to get my anki in and finished up another chapter in my python book, practice problems come next!

It seems like we have been making good progress on the Explorers Gold and I look forward to seeing how we can improve it some more. Got an hour of time in on the i+1 room on Monday!

Tuesday was pretty productive, I managed to get in almost 6 hours in the i+1 room, however there were a few distractions and times when I was unable to really be productive so I will say it was closer to only about 3 hours.

I almost managed to miss my Tuesday check-in, however I realized the time right at the last minute. I will have to update the amount studied when I finish my anki cards, gotta get to bed before 7AM today.

Well, I was in the i+1 room from 10pm to 1:30 am today, so not too bad. Turns out the longer you wait to do the exercises after doing the reading, the more difficult it becomes.

Trying for 100 cards in anki will be tricky with my current decks, but hopefully as I add easier cards it will get less tricky as time goes on. I did manage to get a good number reviewed and added while in the i+1 room for 1 hour already, so that is definitely a good thing. Now with any luck I will find that my pup did not eat something he should not have and give himself a bowel obstruction.

Was definitely a great session!

I have an idea - why don't you star a few specific cards and I can try and make them as atomic as possible?

Another pretty good session, was in the i+1 room for 1.5 hours and got in more than 100 reviewed and some cards added. I have been gradually trying to re-do one or two really complex cards each time I review recently. It may be slow going, but a little here and there will eventually get done. I would really appreciate the assistance with tackling some of these cards, as several of them have given me quite a bit of trouble and I could definitely use some help on them!

"It may be slow going, but a little here and there will eventually get done." If someone ever gets confused by the i+1 philosophy, show them this phrase! It's like reductionism squared. Baby steps, in the right direction, KNOWING you will eventually get it done! Love how you phrased that.

I really think thats why it works so well - its all a mental game. Forgive your i-1, Be with your i, Grow to i+1. Relax and know that it will get done as long as you take one step forward today!

Also 100% agreed about the i+1 room, I am loving it!

Not the greatest day in terms of productivity today, I ended up having to give my pup a bath as a result of his muscle relaxants, then when I did get some sleep I was awoken way too soon and ended up falling back asleep and missing almost the entire day. I guess I even typed out some messages, but have no recollection. Regardless though, I got my 100 cards in along with 1 hour in the i+1 room, so at least it wasn't a complete loss.

Its these days though that toughen your character... ESPECIALLY that you made i+1 moves forward in spite of it all. Very cool!

Was just with M+S in the i+1 Room, is definitely a huge help to WATCH them study the Python deck, to be able to give feedback (if I am around) in live time. Its almost like a flipped classroom but being at home studying WITH them! Not to mention it makes me want to study Python...

Sure we aren't at your level and its going to be a slow pace as we tediously cover every basic point before moving on, but hopefully with all that extra practice it really sticks this time! (Since I have "learned" so much different programming syntax in various languages over the years but never to the mastery degree of say Spanish or Chemistry).

Also, I have been editing around some code from GitHub which is a programmable Pomodoro Timer https://www.acaexplorers.com/explorers/timer/ I think we could work this into the i+1 Room, Gold, etc. and it would also be a cool thing to offer use for us as Life Coaches, for ourselves and our students! I say Pomodoro because that is the standard, but I definitely want to play around with other ratios and really find some kind of principle we can use that isnt as random as just 25:5 without rhyme or reason.
