Molecular Biology
Hey there everyone, I just wanted to start a topic on something I find interesting! Luckily for me, there are plenty of aspects that I find interesting when it comes to molecular biology. One such aspect is the way in which a complex multicellular organism can grow out of a single cell. I think that I will keep posting little bits of information to this thread as I go along, feel free to do so as well if you wish!
Another interesting aspect to Molecular Biology, and science in general really, is how it has developed at a seemingly exponential pace. Different fields of study in seemingly different areas have started to converge and arrive at similar conclusions from different perspectives. In this case both Molecular Biology and Biochemistry have arrived at similar conclusions despite biology being primarily focused on systems while biochemistry is more often focused on the specific components of those systems.
How would you define molecular biology as different than biochemistry?
Of course at the end of the day, it is all just terminology. The universe doesn't separate the natural world into neat little categories where one doesn't influence or follow the rules of all the rest. But still would be interested in hearing your particular take on the differences in definition.
