Bottom post of the previous page:

I would say today was an i+1 day, for I ended up getting through all of my reading and then managed to even do some extra as well as more pull ups than usual. Tomorrow I gotta make it an i+100 day when it comes to adding though...

Today was not so great, I did get my anki study done and have done reading, but I have not yet managed to get my 100 cards done. Soon, though, that should be done!

This morning I made the mistake of going back to bed after getting up even though I didn't feel all that tired. I don't think I am going to do that again, for I felt tired most of the day after than and was far less productive than I could have been. On the other hand, I was still able to get some things done, so I am doing better than I used to! Now I just need to find a way to get homes for the rest of the puppies to get an i+1 month.

Hahaha I love this. Your journal entries are always so interesting to read!

Yeah I have made that mistake way too many times. So I try to chug water right away and get the hell out of my room. Too tempting that warm bed!

Dog training is such pure i+1 though - Dogs are so Pavlovian and so much more easily trained than our pesky subconscious minds! What would an i+1 Month look like for them? Maybe getting them all to sit? Be pretty cool!

I imagine an i+1 month for these puppies, if they were really making a little progress per day, would be much more than all of them sitting, lol. They learn things really fast, it is quite surprising honestly. I could probably have them all sitting in only a few days pretty reliably! Now to get some more reading/study time in!

Yeah that is a good point... ! I was surprised how quickly Chloe, Angie's dog, learned sit, stay, come, even shake, and she is already over a year old!

Get that molecular bio studied! I want to see some epic Anki cards so that I can borrow them!

I am really ennoying the study, but I am not enjoying how I have managed to get hairs in my eyes. Turns out reading is difficult when one cannot kep ones eyes open!

Dang! We need to invent some kind of spaced repetition software that doesn't require vision!

I tried using it with the reader app, but it was not as easy as just reading it myself, lol. Today I have gotten quite a bit of stuff done, but not as much as I had in the past.

I still would love some help with Polar Bookshelf or the easiest way to get PDF material into Anki but I worry that if its too easy/automatic then we will lose the "personal" effect you get from making the card by hand. It seems to be that the more time spent personally designing each card the 'higher' it gets in the learning curve before review, which is optimal

I really really liked Polar Bookshelf a lot. I managed to make tons of cards very quickly, but my biggest problem is the way they started updating it and pushing it to be online only. It really sucks that they decided this tool needed to be solely subscription based and require everything reside in the cloud. If you get the right version you can still get it to sync to anki, but somehow they managed to break it along the way, which is one reason I stopped using it. I am not sure there is much of a difference between making the card in anki vs making it in polar. The polar interface is basically what you get with anki, it just cuts down on the amount of copy-pasting you are doing and is limited to only cloze-deletion and 2-sided card types. I would say today is another day bordering on i+1, however I never expected I would be vacuuming up cherries, but I guess puppies like to try and eat them regardless of things like ripeness and tartness.
