Where I learned that v was chosen as a description indicator (Bliss uses Metaphor, and even as a warning, saying "STOP! Metaphor ahead!")
And I learned that v was chosen because it is balanced on a point and is therefore unstable.
==Bliss Suing BCI==
Also of course fascinating to read how contentious he got. I knew about how he sued BCI but not to the degree it got to. Also can't quite understand his logic - since clearly a language once its used would naturally develop 'dialects'.

I also learned Shirley McNaughton started with a specific order of words: I, you, he, she, we, they, mother, father, grandma, grandpa, doctor, nurse, teacher, therapist, postman, fireman, librarian, dentist, happy, sad, frustrated, love, like, hate, want, need, understand...
This is crucial to my goals with Blissymbolics as I will be teaching it to kids as a language learning tool.

In the RadioLab episode they paint Blissymbolics as a failure but in this one as a success. And she herself wishes to see it being used in more domains, in fact said to her an ideal education for a child would have them learning many languages, such as: -Ideal Education: - Their Language - One Other Spoken Language - Blissymbolics - Sign Language - To see all the types of communication that exist I see Blissymbolics as more of just a stepping stone to reading but a way to get a deeper and more universal appreciation for language than any kind of icons or drawings.
