Julian, so good to see you posting again. I look so forward to seeing on the meetings soon!Julian's Journal
Something I came to realize yesterday was the ability women have to do two tasks at the same time, we men don't have that multitasking skill quite mastered. Little did I know was that indeed scientifically speaking, women's brain have double the chance of being focused on more that one thing at the same time.
Very interesting idea! I want to know what sparked this idea.
Have any sources on that? I had read the opposite. Not that men were better but that multitasking is a myth. How are we defining multitasking?
Is it spending more than 100% of your attention on something? Women can spend 100% focus on two things at once so 200%?
Seems like you can either focus 100% on one task, or divide and conquer, appropriately budget your time, energy, and resources, and say spend 25% / 25% / 25% / 25% on 4 tasks.
https://psychology.stackexchange.com/qu ... ing-a-myth - I also found this article quite interesting, I didn't realize it was something in the common parlance
Here is a cool *National Geographic video: TEST YOUR BRAIN - NatGeo - Human Can't Multitasking So Well* - https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x300bt0
It's showing why texting and driving (probably the most commonly done 'multitasking') = no bueno... doesn't matter if you're a man or a woman!
Also interesting to me because mindfulness == anti-multitasking. All that samadhi or concentration meditation is really about trying to focus on only one thing at a time.
Visited a friend yesterday and as coffee is in our likes list, we undertook on an adventure of roasting coffee in a pot. the result, an acceptable medium roast with slight tipping traits, I felt insecure when temperature wouldn't go up as fast as I wanted even with the power at 100%, the cause, overload of coffee, however it was an awesome experience.
My friend took some pics and sent me this one, the sample at the top is the one I roasted and the other one was roasted by my friend's mother. Little did I know was the she's so good at it.
